GÜRSU’S EU CULTURE CAPITAL IS GOING TO BE
    In the context of the Birliği Youth - European Cultural Heritage ’Project of Gürsu Municipality, it is aimed to be the cultural capital of the European Union in 2021.
 
    The second international meeting was held in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, within the scope of ’Youth - European Cultural Heritage ası Project, which was realized by the Municipality of Gürsu.
 
    To represent the Gürsu Municipality as part of the project implementation activities; Director of Rural Services and project coordinator Özgür Aycil, Director of Cultural Affairs Hüseyin Fil, Director of Private Office Salih Uzun, Marriage Officer Yılmaz Ceylan attended. Balıkesir University Faculty Member Prof.Dr. Kamile Gülüm also took part in the delegation.
 
   Mayor of Gürsu Mustafa Işık said, ası We carry out important works in order to preserve the richness of the historical and cultural heritage of the Gürsumuz and carry it to the future. With our projects, we aim to ensure that our Gürsumuz has an international identity with its riches. We protect the historical texture of our district with the projects we have carried out both with the European Union grant projects and the Municipality. Beside this, we are also working to make Gürsumuz a European Union cultural capital Bun.
 
    Project coordinator Özgür Aycil said, Özg We are conducting many grant projects on behalf of the Municipality. Within the scope of this project, we had the opportunity to introduce Bursa and Gürsu to our project partners. We have had the opportunity to see examples of good practices for the protection of cultural heritage. We want to intensify the efforts to protect the cultural heritage of Gürsu by benefiting from European Union funds. " said.
 
    In the meetings where the historical riches of Bursa and Gursu were shared with the project partners, presentations were made on the preservation of cultural heritage and the games in different cultures were explained by the delegations.
 
     In the context of the eye Youth - European Cultural Heritage esi Project, which has a total budget of 79 thousand 550 euros, it is aimed to be the cultural capital of Gürsu in 2021. The project, which will be implemented in partnership with Poland, Bulgaria and Italy, aims to protect cultural heritage and to raise awareness of young people.
